Josh Ogilvie

President

Josh brings over 18 years of teaching and leadership experiences in PHE to the president’s role. He is very passionate about creating meaningful and purposeful teaching and learning experiences in PHE. 

Stephanie Mervyn

1st Vice President

Stephanie is currently teaching PHE at Stanley Humphries Secondary School in Castlegar, BC. Her focus has been on junior PHE and enhancing student’s experiences at the high school level.

Chad Oatway

2nd Vice President

Chad brings to the PHE BC team a wealth of experience at the secondary and middle school levels, specializing in physical and health education and leadership. He is passionate about developing physical literacy and health education throughout the province.

Alexandra Inglis

Treasurer

Alexandra is a physical and health education teacher and the After-School Program Coordinator for the Kamloops-Thompson school district. Her objective is to enhance children’s lifelong well-being through creative, arts, sports, and physical activity. 

Jenny Mitchell

Secretary

Jenny is a physical and health education teacher and the district Health Promoting Schools Coordinator in Summerland, BC, where she supports health across many school communities. In her spare time she loves to be active outdoors with her family exploring the mountains of foot, bike and skis!

Lynn Dawson

Communications

Lynn brings more than 23 years of experience teaching PHE to the team, and she is currently teaching K-6 PHE at Henry Hudson Elementary in Vancouver, BC. She is also very passionate about developing professional learning networks and connecting with like-minded teachers to share the latest happenings in PHE. 

Lisa Manzini

Past President

Lisa is a passionate physical and health educator who served as president from 2015-2020. She has worked on many collaborative initiatives and has presented provincially and nationally, with the goal of improving the quality of physical and health education in BC and Canada. Lisa has taught elementary PHE in Squamish for the past 25 years and believes connections are the ley to learning.
